What is a charter school?

Charter schools are free, public schools led by a board of trustees rather than state and local boards of education.

This means we can cater our policies and educational models to the students we serve. Charter schools are open to all students without discrimination.

Like other public schools, charter schools are publicly funded and cannot charge tuition. However, we only receive a percent of public education funds based on enrollment and therefore rely on donations to cover additional costs.
